Between 1899 and 1900, Argentinian surgeon Alejandro Posadas hired cameraman Eugenio Py to film two of his surgeries in the old Clínicas Hospital.

Posadas had graduated with honours and invented a state-of-the-art procedure in thoracic interventions.
